What is Continental Drift?

Continental Drift is a project that connects and presents poems and poetry films in the internet. It is based on the »Chinese Whispers« parlour game and is open to all poets and film makers – worldwide.

How does it work?

It’s very simple:

1. A poet writes a poem and places it on the site.
2. A film maker makes a poetry film based on this poem.
   He or she then places it on the site as well.
3. The next poet writes a poem based on this film – and so on.

This is going to produce an unbroken chain of poems and poetry films. And since the project doesn’t have to stay linear, new chains can start at every point: The poem from Spain can be made into a film in Turkey, but also into a new film in Chile. And the new film from Chile can be made into a new poem in Vietnam and into a new poem in South Africa.
